Publications

Recognizing the substantial lag time in the excavation of a large site from the onset of excavation to the final publication of results, three field reports were published following the first three field seasons. The first was to provide a background to the project (Schwartz 1971), the second to provide a rough indication of the architectural configuration and chronology of the site (Schwartz 1972) and the third to present preliminary conclusions obtained during the 1972 field season (Schwartz 1973). The results of these three field reports are presented here.

In order to document the Arroyo Hondo Pueblo project fully, a series of nine monographs were published that present data and ideas on specific topics. Those nine monographs are included here and are available for download. In addition, a summary of each monograph, a biography of the author, and reviews of the monographs are presents.

In several of the Monographs, in addition to the main presentations, special reports on a variety of subjects are presented. These papers provide important descriptions and useful additional comparative data that add much to our understanding of the Arroyo Hondo Pueblo. The special reports are organized by subject including Ecology, Survey, Human Remains, Faunal, Artifacts, Tree Ring Dates, Food and Diet, Architecture and Ceramics.
