     The age standards employed in this study were dental development and eruption, skeletal growth and development, epiphyseal union, pubic synthesis changes and endocranial suture closure. The various age criteria were applied to the age groups for which they were appropriate. Standards of skeletal measurement derived from Vallois (1965) were used in order to maintain consistency with Mackey’s study of the Arroyo Hondo crania. Stature estimates were based on Genoves (1967).
